“If I’m Honest…” will be the one place where you’ll find me (Kate Hammer) in all my dimensions, speaking frankly about my range of interests.

That range is, if I’m honest and not-quite-grammatical, disorientingly large: I’m obsessed by

  • how people live in their internal worlds and in the wider world,

  • what we see and what we miss,

  • what we tolerate and what we knock ourselves out to change.

Some of what I read I’ll share in my Bookshop.org bookshop here.

Join the extending network

Unless it was a shameless marketing gimmick, apparently I have the same quotient of connectedness as Mark Zuckerberg.

So what’s it like to live 2.9-degrees of separation from everyone one earth, you might ask? Frankly, I don’t believe I do….but I do have a funny story about how closely my father is connected to the cultural phenomenon surrounding the six-degrees-of-separation theory. And if you can tolerate this level of randomness, we’ll do ok, you and I.

For certain, I’m lucky to know wonderful people who might find “If I’m Honest….” comment section a great way to connect. Over to you, to take the conversation in the direction that best serves you.

I’m grateful that I can use this ease user interface to write and publish without paying for the genuine privilege. To find out more about the company that provides the tech for this newsletter, visit Substack.com.
